Fallout 76 Aster Locations and Details

Approx Reading Time: 4 minutes

Aster is a consumable plant in Fallout 76. You can use it to create teas to complex alcohol-infused consumables. When areas containing Aster are nuked the plants become Red Hot Bloom and will produce Raw Crimson Flux instead of Aster.

Fallout 76 Aster Locations

Fallout 76 Aster Locations

Aster can be found all over Appalachia. I’m going to try and focus on areas where there are at least a couple of plants located together. More than that, we’re looking for places that have many plants concentrated in an area.

Whitesprings Resort

Whitesprings Resort is easily the most prominent location in all of Appalachia. It is just west of the Blackwater Mine and quite a way southeast of Vault 76.

Take the waypoint and turn to the north. There are Aster plants scattered all over this area. With virtually no effort, I was able to locate twenty-six Aster plants.

In general, Whitesprings Resort is a great place to find Aster. Just stick to the paths and check the bushes or foliage that line those paths.

Palace of the Winding Path

The Palace of the Winding Path is south of Prickett’s Fort and east of the Philippi Battlefield Cemetery.

Along the paths around the main building, you can find several Aster plants if you look carefully. I was able to find ten Aster plants scattered around. The main haul comes from a garden on the north side of the building. There you’ll find eleven Aster plants.

Philippi Battlefield Cemetery

Philippi Battlefield Cemetery is in the northern part of the map. It is just west of the Palace of the Winding Path and south of The Crater.

If you check out the cemetery itself south of the main building, you’ll find a total of six Aster plants amongst some of the graves.

East Mountain Lookout

East Mountain Lookout is in the Savage Divide. You’ll find it between Kerwood mine to the east and West Tek Research Center to the west.

At the base of the tall lookout tower, there are two rusted out jeeps. In front of those two jeeps are three Aster plants.

Relay Tower EL-B1-02

Relay Tower EL-B1-02 is in the far southern section of the Savage Divide. You’ll find it south of the Lucky Hole Mine and north of Johnson’s Acre.

It’s a very remote area of the map, and it’s maybe a long way to go for Aster. That said, there are two Aster plants just off the northeast corner of the building near some logs.

Prickett’s Fort

Prickett’s Fort is on the border between the Toxic Valley and the Savage Divide in the far north of Appalachia. You’ll find it to the east of The Crater.

Take the waypoint and turn west toward the northwest. If you have already discovered Knife Edge, head that way. A telephone pole with a rusted out red car is near the road. That’s the first of three Aster plants.

The second is just down the embankment next to a tree, while the third is to the northwest by a fallen tree.

Aster Effects

You can use Aster in several recipes. We’ll cover that in a second. You can also eat the Aster directly to get some minor benefits. Most of which is rads, so I don’t recommend directly consuming it.

  • Rads: 5
  • Disease Chance: 1%
  • Food: 1%
  • Weight: 0.25
  • Value: 5
